More Metals

Hoi,

In one of the prior posts on this blog I've shown some white metal figures I have recently painted. Today another batch of them will be shown to the public.

First is the the last remaining French lady from the set of 3 ladies shown before. I took a long time coming up with this particular colour scheme and like it pretty well. This is also my first try-out of a more olive-coloured skin-tone and I think I can still improve on that.

Next up are 3 ADC's delivered without horses, these are the test-samples done for the supplier. From left to right, French ADC, French Ordinance officer and finally a Brunswick ADC

How to make a stormtrooper!

Hoi,

How do you make your own stormtrooper? Well buy a makerbot 3D printer! http://www.makerbot.com/ At work we now have done so and this marvel of modern technology has printed the Stormtrooper helmet below. I was asked to try and paint it. I am by far not happy with the result but hey loads of factors influencing the painting process:
1) the plastic has to be cleaned (I forgot to do that...)
2) The plastic needs to be sanded because it comes out of the printer in a very rough form.

Anyway: here are some pictures:
