100 ETS Contributions!

Hoi Folks!

Just this week an e-mail was dropped into my inbox from HäT telling me I had supplicated around 100 contributions to their Everything Toy Soldier (= gallery) pages.
Quite an achievement even though I say this myself!

With the mail came this avatar:

I think it's pretty cool since apparently I am the first one to reach this milestone.

Actually I think all thanks for this should go to HäT itself for producing these nice figures and thus enabling me to paint them.

Anyway up to the next 100!

More Stirring deeds that made the Empire!

Hoi Folks!

Well my new Sudan Campaign British army had its Maiden Battle last Saturday and totally slaughtered the Ansar troops keeping it from the Oasis at Abu Klea.

Jan Willem (commander of the Madhist forces) wrote a short batrep in the Warlord Forum and has some pics up at his site:

Colonials

Dear People!

Saturday I will be playing my first game using the Black Powder rules. My British colonial force will take the Dervishes head on! I am very curious how this will go. Apart from the general in his command elephant I have finished all units needed see pics below.

Here the dismounted versions of my Camelcorps troopers.

My regiment of Cameron Highlanders.

I'll keep you posted on their adventures in the Sudan!

Napoleonic Madness

Hoi Peoples!

Today we bring you some Napoleonics. All based for the lovely Black Powder Rules. The problem I am experiencing is that you can play all conflicts from 1800 up to 1900 with these rules and since I have figures for almost all these wars in store I am torn between what army or even what war to prepare for. So I am doing all at the same time.

Below are some of my brigade command figures. The mounted officers are white metal from Art Miniaturen the officers on foot are of course Revell's Royal Foot Artillery figures.

This stand shows the commandbase of a green faced regiment of British infantry.

The figures below depict the Neuchâtel Regiment of the French Army. All are HäT figures save the standard bearer who is Italeri.

Enjoy them!

Incomming!

Hoi Folks!

Just a quick intermezzo! Yesterday I have finished the last two HäT Napoleonic Artillery testshots.

Above the 1806 Prussian Artillery set.

And it's French counterpart. These guns are really pretty large and I am wondering whether these are a bit too large or other guns too small or that other producers' guns represent smaller field-pieces.

Whatever the answer I like these two versatile sets a lot!
