Salamanca 1812 by Rory Muir has also piqued my interest in gaming this battle. There has been discussion of this for our club's 2012 recreation battle. I'll be watching your new blog with interest.

What Brit. cavalry have you heard is in the pipeline from HaT? I really would love for them to make pre-1812 light and heavy dragoons.

Hoi Rosbif ;-)

Thanks, yes it's a brilliant book and I specially love the detailed maps which even depict where all the key units were probably positioned. Ideal for re-fighting.

Progress I fear will be not very fast and loads of posts will not be of direct interest because they will concern the making of the diorama rather then re-fighting the battle. But perhaps that will be done as well in time.

As the British cavalry is concerned, a while back Mrs Jones put up masters of pre 1812 Light and Heavy Dragoons in the HäT forum, for the love of God I have tried to find them but I cannot but am pretty sure they were there! Backburnered I suppose :-(
