'ere come the Peelers!

Hoi,

Just a really small post to prove I am still at it. Together with the Chinese figures from last post, I painted up some London policemen on bicycles, also from Foundry.

There's two more civilian bicycle riding figures in the cue, but other stuff has taken precedence at the moment. More on this later!

A Handsome Cab

Hoi,

After the latest posts you might be excused for thinking I have sadly forsaken my Victorian project, but that's not entirely true. I finally managed to finish my last vehicle for this era, the West Wind Hansom Cab. A nice little model with some great detail. Ideally there should be reins from the horse to the driver's hands but I decided that was too fiddly for me and also a risk on the gaming table.

It was enormous fun to paint, even if it did take me a while to come up with a paint scheme I liked. More Victorians will follow inevitably when time and mojo permit.

Dodge this...

Hoi,

Here are some more finished figures from the Wargames Foundry Victorian era range. These mini's represent the Dodger and friends; I kinda like them. The 36 Chambers made the excellent bases.

Next stop King's Cross!

Hoi,

In our continuing series on Victorian Vehicles we bring you, dear ladies and gents, a blue bus. This is yet another of the excellent West Wind Productions vehicles for the Victorian era.

I decided to leave part of the advertisement signs blank, in order to put in adds that can correspond with the scenery I am getting together. I do wish West Wind would have added some passengers or offer the service of buying separate passengers/ driver figures on their site.

I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Transport for the posh...

Hoi,

In today's episode of Victorian Vehicles we present you with transportation for the well-to-do amongst us. This very nice West Wind Coach comes complete with groom and two horsepower motivation.

Again I will let the pictures do the talking since there's not much to say about this model, apart from the fact that I still have one West Wind vehicle in the works which is their hansom cab and I can't decide on the colourscheme.

Assorted scenery

Hoi,

Just a minor post today with some 28mm Victorian scenery pieces. First is a Wargames Foundry handcart with exchangeable produce. I have 3 inlays with products to put on it; one with fruit and veggies, one with fishesheshsss and one with I don't know what so I haven't painted the latter one up yet and did not include it in the pictures here.

Next up are some statues carrying coals and candles to illuminate your great hall, underground dungeon, castle-hall or other such locations. What firm made these I do not know I picked them up in a bargain bin on some convention or other.
