Ducosim February 2009

Hi Folks!

Two updates today! The first being about the Ducosim games-fair last February. Our Classic Battletech forum-club played two different battles there. First there was an "open participation game" and second we played a "grand finale game" for our Kessen Campaign. I played in the latter and our side won, but only just! We had to achieve several objectives within a time limit of 10 turns. As it happened in turn 8 my side stood on the winning side and as both my co-player had to leave for more pressing matters and the venue was about to close we were saved by the bell! Had we played the remaining 2 turns I do believe we would have come up with a loss or possibly a draw.

Napoleonics Update!

Hoi you all!

Here's another update this time with some Napoleonics and one picture of my LW German 1000pts army for The Great War.

This first picture show some Austrian Light Horse, which I am painting for a great diorama for the coming DUZI show this October.

This picture shows one of my very first Napoleonics ever bought: A Revell Chasseur of the Guard trumpeter. I re-painted him and gave him a Bruno Arnal head.

The last Napoleonic picture shows some HäT testshots of the latest French Light Infantry Voltigeurs. More pictures will be shown in the ETS pages at http://www.hat.com/

And finally here: my German Army for The Great War

- Up front is a Major with two troopers one holding a Bergman SM.
- to the right-front is a Sturm Truppen Company of a 5 man Command squad and two 6 man platoons
- On the left-front are the support choices: two machine guns, a 77mm Field gun and a flamer squad
- in the back are my two Assault Companies. These have a command squad of 5 man (yes I need to fill them out further) and 3 platoons of 9 men each.

Desert Storm Testers!

Hi Folks!

The latest up-date here concerns some 1:72 ESCI Modern US Troops. I have painted these as testers and based them on 2 eurocent pieces.

My other projects at the moment are:

- HäT testshots of Napoleonic French, Colonial British and 28mm El Cid figures.
- 2nd regiment for my Napoleonic Italian commission
- Napoleonic Austrian Light Horse for a second commission

Finished!

Hoi All!

Over the last weekend I was finally able to finish two commission works: the anima tactics girl and the first regiment of my 3 Italian Napoleonic Regiment commission.

Here's a transport picture of the Italians awaiting shipment to their owner.

I also finished my WW1 Late War German 1000pts army and when I have more time I'll take some pictures of them too.

Cheers Sander

Update?

Dear Folks!

Due to a very busy schedule at work and at the study I am currently involved in, I have not had much time to update this BLOG.

What projects am I trying to squeeze into my very little spare time?

1) I am still hard at work at 3 commissions:
- the Damsell shown in a recent update
- some Napoleonic Italians; I am now doing the specials and command figures.
- some Napoleonic Austrians and French

2) the latest HäT testshots have arrived in the form of:
- 1:72 Napoleonic French Legere (I have based the Voltigeurs)
- 28mm El Cid Spanish Infy. I will do a seize comparison for these!

3) the last batch of my WW1 Late German Army

You'll understand that with the little time I have available progress on all of these is slow...

When I get things finished I'll be sure to update them here!

Have faith and keep an eye on this space!

Disstressing Damsel!

Hoi Peoples!

Here's another update, but this time something different altogether. This is another one of my commissions: an anima tactics lady. She misses an arm (including a very BIG gun) which I am painting separately to make transport to it's owner easier. These are WIP shots so she's not finished by far but the overall impression should be clear from these photo's. I must say that the pictures were taken under pretty bad circumstances and so do not give enough credit to the original.

Mega Update!

Hi Folks!

Since Old Year's Eve is not our favourite Holiday me and the missus had a 'quiet' two days and so lots of time to paint. Therefore I have a lot of pictures to show you all.

Enjoy!
