Hoi,

Well what do you know? I reached the sacred benchmark of 50 people kind enough to show interest in my ramblings. Thanks mister Sutton for being number 50!

Vistula Legion En Avant!

Hoi,

Here a picture of some white metal Polish troops for the Napoleonic Wars I got these from good friend Uwe and painted them up as Vistula Legion infantry. These represent the line and voltigeurs. Some grenadiers are still on the table awaiting new kit.

The faces are a mixed assortment some are great some are Strelets-like, which I hate. The bayonets and plumes are fairly brittle and I lost quite a lot of them due to breakage.

The road was made by Pijlie from pond-foil!

Saint Nicks!

Hoi,

In the Netherlands (and Belgium and Germany) many families celebrate the birthday of Saint Nicolas to give each other presents like you do with Christmas. I forgot to post about the pressies I got earlier on so here goes:

I got two excellent Great War books, The German Army at Ypres and Pillboxes on the Western Front. I got another LEGO SW box featuring the Hoth Wampa cave and 3 Dystopian Wars scenery packs, these latter are great for other wargames too!

Thanks Saint Nick!

Kilties Waheeee!

Hoi,

Some time ago I mentioned having gotten some of HäT's Great War Scottish and Indian Infantry, well here are the first WIP pictures.

First up is a picture of the Scots WIP, I have added some scenics to almost all their bases varying from barbed wire up to German backpacks.

Next are tow conversions to add to the mentioned WW1 sets: an Indian officer made by head-swapping with a Colonial Officer and a a guy playing the bagpipes made from a Colonial piper.

Watch this space for more news!

Dystopian Wars

Hoi,

Yes yes it happened to me again: I caved for a new rule-set/ game: Dystopian Wars. It was really all Pijlie's fault you know! He started this with this topic in his blog. Oh well, in the end I bough the rulebook and a box set of the Naval- and land battle group from the Kingdom of Britannia faction of the game. I have done up some test figures. Not all are finished yet, the ships in particular need the finer details done and perhaps some decals added.

All the same here are some pictures to get your curiosity sated:

Hope you like 'em!

A bit late, due to family matters, but still: let's never forget the sacrifices made...
