Hoi,
OK well not directly dead as such but close. I made this casualty marker using an Airfix Frenchie and a lasercut casualty counter bought at the Crisis 2011.

Tarleton's Light Dragoons
Hoi,
As requested mr Meltzer in the HäT.com forum I have posted pictures of my Tarleton's Dragoon conversions here.
The base for these figures is Italeri's AWI Light Dragoons. Mind you, you have to use the knife on these: all the horses have tassels on their shabraques these should only be present on the officer's horse. Then all troopers wear gorgets (what was Italeri thinking when they made these?) so you either only paint them for the officers or you remove them totally.
The heads are all from the ESCI RHA set which are useless figures anyway due to the uniform inaccuracies.

Ducosim CBT battle
Hoi,
Last Saturday I went to the Ducosim games convention in Amersfoort and played a small Classic Battletech game with Michiel and Marnix. Marnix and myself represented a Clan invading force who had to destroy and capture several IS buildings. I went over there with a combined star of mechs and elementals not fully realising I would be using just 1/3rd of my force. That had been stated in the mission scenario but I did not fully comprehend what it meant for the game.
I ended up using just my Summoner in support of Marnix's Locust IIc and another second-line mech whose name I forgot. We decided that we would try to divide Michiels force of 5 mechs by sending all 3 of our mechs on a different route and this worked fine until Michiel realised what was happening and in true Innersphere surrat style focussed all his fire on my Summoner who held on for about 4 turns under humongous incoming ordnance before succumbing and the pilot ejecting.
Some pictures:
My Summoner targeting the observation post while Marnix blasts the depots
Marnix and me deciding our next move
My Summoner in action
A brave last stand... where's the cavalry when you need them? Oh forgot: always late!
Well we had a blast (pun intended) and since this was the start of a mini-campaign of sorts, you can expect to see more here.
Cheers Sander

In the works...
Hoi,
There has been a lot of Dystopian Wars madness over here lately and while I understand that most of you people are more historically inclined, I like that game a lot. Fantasy and Sci-Fi have always been a big part of my gaming hobby ever since I started it. Now this does not mean that there are no historical projects in the works. Therefore I thought I'd tell you here what's going on over at the workbench.
* first up is another bunch of French Marines for the Crush the Kaiser project. When those are finished I will have 2/3rds of the work done.
* next are two Austrian artillery limbers and an unit of Austrian Cuirassiers for the 7YW.
* then I am building some jungle terrain, both for colonial and pirate games
* the last project I'm actually working on at this point is the Freebooters Fate starter set for the Imperial Armada.
You see I'm not yet lost to all things Dystopian War and still going strong in other erea's of the hobby.
Cheers Sander
