May the 4th!

Hoi,

We have a bit of a conundrum today: it's May 4th as you probably have noticed on the calendar. This means 2 things, here in the Netherlands May 4th is Memorial Day and the 5th is Liberation Day. But it's also May the Forth be with you, Star Wars Day. So what to do?

Why not celebrate or remember both?

Still making casualty counters for Black Powder on and off. This one is supposed to portray a Napoleonic Dutch/ Belgian Hussar killed in the Hundred Days Campaign.

Brothers of the Broken Sword!

An unusual subject for today's update I might say. I have finally found time to paint up some of the GW Deathwing Terminators I have lying around.
Among the terminator mini's awaiting paintjobs are some old white metal Deathwing in need of re-basing, some newer plastic termies with Thunderhammer and shields and even the new Dark Vengeance Terminator squad.

This finished squad has powerclaws and looks quite fearsome, if I say so myself. As always it was a pain to paint the white terminator armour, I think that for the next squad I am going try out the olive-coloured basecoates that are so popular at the moment.

Anyway here they are: For the Emperor and the Lion!

Rocroi

Hoi,

As I have said often before: I am not very fond of commissions, yet now and again I find myself painting figures for other people. The figures below were in my collection a long time until I finally realised I was not going to use them having sold most of my 30 YW figures. Therefore I have now painted them up as Spanish for Uwe's great Rocroi diorama. They should be accompanied by some more pikemen when I have time to paint them up.

Black Lancers

Hoi,

A long time nu update, this is due to the fact that real life sometimes creeps up on you and demands more of your attention and time then you want to spent on it. But hey, I guess that's life right?
That said, I did find a little time to finish up some more loose ends on the painting desk. Here's one of them: the HäT Brunswick Lancers.

They hail from a mixed boxset of Brunswick cavalry including 3 lancers and 9 hussars. I have painted up the 3 lancers of the set and combined them with a testshot figure from an earlier sprue to make this 4 man unit.

The uniforms came from this brilliant site.

Vehicle showcase: Rolls Royce Armoured cars

Hoi,

Yet another instalment in the vehicle showcase series brings you my resin Rolls Royce armoured cars. These are about my favourites. I have bought two at the Crisis in Antwerp two years ago and they painted up a treat. I painted one to resemble an European theatre car and the other in suitable colours for Africa or the Middle East.
