Weathering the storm!

Hoi,

Well we had a terrible summer storm two days ago, and it caused quite some trouble at home. Next to our house there's a great big, 90 years old walnut tree and it decided to crop itself and dump a large branch more or less right on top of us.

Apart from that we also suffered water-damage through a leak in the living room roof. Ironically we had just got a contractor in to renew the roofing...

Oh well... shite happens!

The Black Duke!

Hoi,

Since the last weeks of the school-year are in full swing, which means I get a lot of correction work on pupil's tests, I do not have much time to paint. Therefore today brings only a small update.
The Black Duke of Brunswick. The figure of the Duke himself is from Waterloo1815, the ADC is a metal one from CWTOYS and his horse an Italeri French HQ figure.

Perhaps not the most excellent work I have displayed here, but today's update brings you an infantry regiment of Napoleon's stalwart Bavarian Allies. The officer  and ensign are metal figures of either Stegmann or Art Miniaturen the rest are all HäT figures.

Shear Fun!

Hoi,

Today I would like to present you with a little project which has been in the works for some time. The stone-walls you see here were sent to me a while ago by a friend who wanted me to see them. They are done in resin by a small German manufacturer who's name has unfortunately escaped me. The sheep and donkey are white metal and again I can't remember their brand for the life of me.

I've also done some shots with other miniatures because I wanted the animals to tell a little story. The donkey is watching the battle currently going on. The ram is coming to investigate what all the racket is about, mum is following him and baby asks mum what's up... Yeah I probably have to much time to think this kind of stuff up...
